Annual-Exams

Wellness Exams

One of our goals is to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Physical examinations allow our veterinarians to evaluate the general health of your pet and to identify any health issues before they become serious. All wellness visits are scheduled for at least thirty minutes to allow plenty of time for you to discuss your pet’s lifestyle and any concerns you have with the veterinarian and technician. This will allow you to choose the best preventative care program for your pets needs.

At Falconbridge Animal Hospital our veterinarians recommend a routine physical exam be done annually for most dogs and cats under the age of 8 years. As pets become more mature, changes can happen even more quickly, therefore we recommend a physical exam for them every 6 months.

Puppy and Kitten Wellness Exams

Similar to children, puppies and kittens need a series of vaccinations as they grow. Since these youngsters grow so quickly, it is important to monitor their health closely. This is why we perform wellness exams with each set of vaccine boosters until at least 16 weeks of age. An adolescent exam is recommended at approximately 10 months of age to discuss behavior, nutrition, and assess growth.

Taking care of your precious pet’s health starts with a thorough veterinary exam. To schedule an appointment for your canine or feline friend, call us at (919) 403-5591.
